Aloe Vera Sandwich

While the most popular consumable variation of aloe vera is aloe vera juice, however, it proves to be quite brilliant when clubbed with bread and converted into a sandwich. Great for people looking for a quick healthy bite, and also for vegetarians bored of tofu subs.

 


Ingredients
01. Aloe Vera (Peeled) – 20 gms
02. Rye bread (Grilled) – 10 gms
03. Cherry Tomatoes – 5
04. Orange segments – 5
05. Salt – to taste
06. Crushed pepper – 1 gm
07. Microgreens – 8 gms
08. For Orange dressing:
Orange juice – 100 ml
Kafir lime – 4 to 5 leafs
Lemongrass – 1 stem
Galangal – 5 gms
Kashmiri Chili – 2 gms
White wine vinegar – 20 ml
Sunflower oil – 10 ml

Method
01. Mix the orange juice with kafir lime, lemongrass and galangal and reduce it to half.
02. Add white wine vinegar and gradually add sunflower oil to make an emulsion.
03. Marinate the Aloe Vera steak with orange dressing and place on grilled rye bread with orange segments and cherry tomatoes. Add a bunch of microgreens on top.
