Braised Vegetables with Creamy Millet

The misconception that often comes up with opting for organic products is that it wouldn’t taste good. However, it’s not the ingredient but the way we utilise it.  Thus, here’s presenting a very creamy way to put millets to delicious use – one of AnnaMaya’s healthy food recipes.
Ingredients
01. Banyard millet – 50 gm
02. Butter – 10 gm
03. Milk – 20 ml
04. Veg stock – 10 ml
05. Salt – 2 gm
06. Pepper – 2 gm
07. Pumpkin dice – 10 gm
08. Carrot Dice – 10 gm
09. Broccoli – 10 gm
10. Snow peas – 10 gm
11. Saffron – 1 gm
12. microgreens – 5 gm
13. Chickpeas – 20 gm
14. Black currant – 5 gm
15. Lemon – 1 wedge

 

Method
01. Take a hot pan and add vegetable stock and milk. Bring to boil, add washed millets and cook until soft.
02. Add basil for flavor and grated parmesan, add salt and pepper for seasoning and remove from heat.
03. Take another pan, heat vegetable stock and all the vegetables, cook until the vegetables are soft.
04. Add saffron, lemon juice and butter for emulsion, season with salt.
05. Pour in the creamy millets in a serving bowl and pour the braised vegetables on it.
06. Top up the dish with dried currants, boiled chickpea and microgreens – available on retail at our food hall.
