The Original Indian Table’s initiative is to connect farmers more efficiently to the market and help them raise their incomes for a better livelihood. They aim to revive different products that are unique to different regions of the country but have been forgotten by customers.

Here are some of their artisanal products
Black Peas (Ladakh): Black peas are indigenous to Ladakh, where they are well suited to the region’s peculiar geo-climatic conditions.
Black Eyed Peas (Himachal Pradesh): Also known as Lobia, this plant is one of the most nourishing legumes. It is very beneficial for the soil and is also suitable for people suffering from diabetes.
Black Soya Bean (Uttarakhand): Also known as Bhatt, these beans are one of the richest sources of proteins and minerals.
Foxtail Millets (Tamil Nadu): The second most widely grown planted species of millet, is a powerhouse of carbohydrates, fiber and minerals. It is also one of the super foods for diabetes.
Finger Millets (Karnataka): Popularly known as Ragi, it is a very rich source of antioxidants.
Barnyard Millet (Tamil Nadu): One of the oldest cultivated millets, this crop has been grown, harvested and packed by Uttarakhand women farmers. It is also known as Jhangora, Kuthiravali and Oodalu.
